Dr. Boris Anderer has over 20 years of experience in building up and managing software companies. In addition to his engagement as Associate Partner at Wintergerst, he is the founder and managing director of the venture catalyst, Booster Ventures GmbH.
From 2004 to 2007, he was co-founder and CEO of the US-based data storage company Starboard Storage Systems Inc. which was acquired by Silicon Graphics International SGI in 2014. Prior to that, he was a venture partner of the German venture capital firm Wellington Partners for 5 years. From 1994 to 2000 Dr. Anderer was co-founder, co-CEO and finally Chairman of the German company Brokat AG. During this time, Brokat grew to become one of the most important publicly listed software companies of the “New Economy” in Germany. In 1999, he received the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in the Ernst & Young Group’s annual competition. Dr. Anderer holds a doctorate in physics and worked until 1994, among other roles, as a consultant at the management consultancy McKinsey & Company for four years. Dr. Anderer’s industry expertise is primarily in the IT/software sector. His consulting focus is on business models and strategy optimization, management consulting in sales/marketing, business development and corporate finance/M&A as well as restructuring support.
Prof. Dr. Claus W. Gerberich has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting and as a management trainer. Of these, he spent 18 years in board positions. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Gerberich Consulting AG and an Associate Partner at Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung.
He laid the foundation for his extensive experience by studying mechanical engineering in Karlsruhe, business management in Mannheim and obtained his doctorate at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Boston. Subsequently, his professional appointments included controlling and strategic planning at BASF AG and a board membership at ADIDAS AG. Likewise, he was also a member of the management of his own family business in mechanical engineering. In addition to various activities in industry and consulting, Mr. Gerberich was appointed to the chair at the Universities of Lucerne and Worms. These positions are complemented by other teaching activities at renowned institutions such as the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and the Erasmus University Rotterdam. His extensive experience and distinctive skills in the field of strategy and management consulting has culminated in the writing of more than 20 books and 50 publications. Furthermore, Mr. Gerberich is a member of the supervisory board of various internationally active middle market companies and has been appointed to the presidium of the EWIF Association, the European Association of Medium-sized Enterprises. His consulting focus is on strategy and business model development, innovation management and growth, controlling and KPI-oriented business management, and business development.
As a trained tax advisor and auditor, Christian Gerstenberger has more than 15 years of professional experience in advising conglomerates and larger family-run companies. At the beginning of his career at Deloitte, he specialized in business valuations and capital market-oriented transaction consulting.
From 2008, he was responsible for the finance department of a listed company in the leisure and luxury goods industry as an authorized signatory of the organization. During this time, he was responsible for capital market-oriented accounting in accordance with IFRS, investor relations and financing. During his appointment, the global financial and economic crisis led to the need for tough reorganization and restructuring measures, which Christian Gerstenberger can now therefore assess first-hand, not only as an advisor. Following the realignment and restructuring of the group, he assisted in its successful sale to financial investors, after which he left. Since 2013, Christian Gerstenberger has been working worldwide as an independent consultant with a focus on complex corporate matters. He has advised clients on a number of M&A transactions in Singapore, China and the USA, mainly in the plant and machinery engineering sector. As a disciple of value-based management and capital allocation, Christian Gerstenberger runs an asset management business in parallel to his consulting work. In the course of these activities, he attends numerous shareholder meetings both domestically and internationally, with the yearly highlight being the annual meeting of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska. In his spare time he relaxes by sailing and riding motorcycles and tractors.

Thomas Kleinschnittger has over 25 years of experience in various management positions at multinational corporations and medium-sized companies. From his time at Unilever, Nestlé, Safilo and Ralston Purina, he brings extensive expertise in business development, strategic development and process management along the entire value chain.
The refinement and modernization of sales organizations and sales processes, digitalization and innovation strategies are the main focus of his work. Establishing and carrying out negotiating strategies and tactics is another point of focus. Implementation of the proposed strategies and the outcomes of the negotiations are particularly close to his heart. Only the successful implementation and adaptation of strategies that achieve successful negotiation outcomes can secure a company’s future. As a lecturer at the universities of Bremen (Department of Strategic Trade and Location Management) and Bielefeld (Department of Innovation Management), he regularly gives lectures. In his spare time, Thomas Kleinschnittger is involved in helping refugees in Hamburg and takes care of the listed/category dogs in a Hamburg animal shelter, together with his younger son. He balances his work by spending time with his family and doing triathlons.
Professor Dr. Marcus Klosterberg is an expert on strategy and sales. In recent years, he has worked with many client companies to shape the digitization of their business models and processes.
Thanks to his many years as a managing director and group board member in Germany, Luxembourg, Australia and Singapore, he can draw on extensive experience in the management of medium-sized and internationally oriented companies. During this time, Professor Klosterberg gained industry expertise in IT, disaster relief and the automotive sector. Since 2009 has been active in business consulting and as an interim manager assisting many companies in B2B markets with the optimization of their strategic alignment and strengthening their sales. In 2010, Dr. Klosterberg was appointed professor and has since held the Chair of Sales and Marketing Management at the FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie und Management, Germany's largest private university. Professor Klosterberg graduated in business administration from the University of Tübingen and earned his doctorate at the University of Hohenheim under Professor Dr. Krcmar in the Department of Business Information Systems. Mr. Klosterberg is married and has three sons. His hobbies are the mountains: hiking, rock-climbing, bouldering.
Jörg Mayer has more than 25 years of experience in various areas of crisis-related consulting and has been an expert in M&A transactions during crisis situations as an associate partner at Societät Wintergerst since 2016.
Mr. Mayer began his career in the banking industry and subsequently joined KPMG. There he worked first in auditing and most recently in management consulting as a senior manager and authorized signatory. After two years as the commercial division manager at FESTO AG, Mr. Mayer decided to return to the consulting industry in 2001. At Wintergerst, he brings practical experience from more than 250 successfully completed M&A projects in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive supply industry and manufacturing. He relaxes after M&A projects, which are usually time-critical, by spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling and biking.
