Proven industry experts at your side.
Four partners for your entrepreneurial success. Wintergerst is a firm led by four active partners - founded in 2011.
Bernd Grupp has been active in the consulting and investment business since 2002. During his studies, he spent four years with a business angel network in Switzerland and with a German investment company. Over the past fifteen years of his career, Bernd Grupp has been the contact person for challenging consulting projects involving investment funds and mid-market family businesses confronted by special situations.
After several years at the management consultancy of the Ebner Stolz Group and at the management consultancy Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner GmbH, which specializes in family businesses, he became a partner of Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung GmbH & Co. KG. At Wintergerst Societät, he specializes in implementing plans to remedy weak yields at clients, also by occupying a position on the board in some cases, and developing investment and divestment strategies. His many years of project experience in restructuring cases and corporate transactions as well as his operational experience in the management of special situations stand him in good stead. His industrial focus is mainly on the areas of mechanical engineering and tool construction, electronics, automotive and software/IT. In his spare time, both in summer and winter, he can usually be found somewhere in the mountains hiking with his wife and young daughter. He also volunteers as a board member of the mountain club.
Christian Kunz joined Wintergerst in 2012. As a graduate in engineering and business management he acts in the partnership team as an industry expert for mechanical and plant engineering as well as the wood processing industry. In addition, as a technical expert he is responsible for enhancing client performance. Within the context of complex restructuring projects, he regularly takes on board positions aimed at implementation of the plans. His in-depth understanding of medium-sized family-owned companies is of great benefit to him in this respect.
Christian Kunz can draw on his many years of experience as the managing director of his family’s international group of companies in the wood processing industry as well as his advisory board positions at renowned mechanical engineering companies who hold technical leadership in their respective fields. He also gained practical transaction experience during the sale of the family-owned group of companies, which he is happy to integrate in his assignments. In his private life, he devotes himself to his family whenever possible, as well as pursuing various sporting activities and hunting.
Felix Leonberger has been advising family-owned businesses in special situations since 2005. Following his apprenticeship as a bank clerk, he studied business economics at the University of Hohenheim and at the same time worked for a major German bank while studying.
After his studies, he first worked for the management consultancy arm of the Ebner Stolz Group and subsequently for the management consultancy Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner GmbH, which specializes in advising family businesses. Felix Leonberger has been a partner of Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung GmbH & Co. KG since 2011. Within the scope of his consulting projects, the economics graduate focuses on drawing up restructuring concepts for medium-sized companies and follows their active implementation. Furthermore, he has cross-industry and comprehensive expertise in financial management issues and planning processes. In his free time, Felix Leonberger spends a lot of time with his family and is an enthusiastic member of a tennis team.
