WINTERGERST assists the sale of all entities in the Allweier Corporation to Diehl Defence
Within the course of an exclusive sales process, Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung was able to sell all the operating entities of the Allweier Corporation to Diehl Defence.
The Allweier Corporation is an established manufacturer of precision machines and drive technology and consists of a number of operating entities. Its 160-strong workforce based at its Überlingen location manufactures products for major national and international customers in the automobile, commercial vehicles, powertrain and defense sectors. The company had slid into financial distress in recent years due to the economic downturn and the Covid pandemic.
Diehl Defence, a leading systems solutions provider in the German defense industry and the largest industrial employer in the western half of the Lake Constance district, has signed an agreement to take over the operations of the Allweier Corporation effective 1 January 2024 and continue the business as an independent unit operating under the name of “DD Präzisionsteile GmbH & Co KG”.
The team from Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung worked with great dedication on reaching this solution, which ensures that all of the jobs can be retained and the operation in Überlingen continued.
„Together with the external management, the team from Wintergerst and, in particular, the workers themselves, we have managed to secure the existence of the location in Überlingen and protect all the jobs, despite facing a very challenging environment. I would like to take this opportunity to heartily thank all involved once again!“

“The transaction process was particularly challenging for the Allweier Corporation due to the immense time pressure, the tight market and competitive environment as well as the customer base, which is made up of major players. In spite of these factors, we were able to find the optimal solution for the company, its workforce and the location itself in the course of a competitive bidding process,” adds Volker Wintergerst, founder and managing partner of Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung, in conjunction with Jörg Mayer, who managed the project for Wintergerst.
