The Rücker family is transferring its dairy business comprising Rücker GmbH in Aurich and Ostsee-Molkerei Wismar to MEGGLE Holding SE, headquartered in Wasserburg am Inn. This move is intended to ensure that the financially sound family business remains well-positioned for the future. WINTERGERST fully prepared and supported the sales process for Rücker. The acquisition creates one of the largest privately owned dairies in Germany. Rücker is a financially successful company and a major employer at its locations in Aurich and Wismar. To ensure this remains the case in the future, the shareholders—Klaus and Insa Rücker—decided, following an extensive strategic process and careful consideration, to sell their company in order to fulfill their responsibility as prudent entrepreneurs.
Solution
WINTERGERST finally found this strong partner in MEGGLE Holding SE. The long-established company, founded in 1887, generates approximately 1.4 billion euros in revenue with 2,600 employees and is in an exceptionally strong financial position. The acquisition of the two companies Rücker GmbH in Aurich and Ostsee-Molkerei GmbH Wismar, with their more than 600 employees and revenue of around 500 million euros, creates one of the largest privately owned dairies in Germany.
