Challenge

Wintergerst’s role was to support Salzgitter Maschinenbau AG in the sale of all its operating subsidiaries through an extremely complex transaction process, leveraging its industry expertise in mechanical and plant engineering. Particular emphasis was placed on the subsidiaries in India and China, which account for a significant portion of the company’s value creation and, consequently, its enterprise value.

Solution

Working closely with its Asian network partner CIGP, Wintergerst was able to find a sustainable solution for all three business divisions through the successful international bidding process with AEQUITA.
