Wintergerst assists the sale of STOTZ Feinmesstechnik GmbH to the BETESO Group

BETESO Group GmbH takes over STOTZ Feinmesstechnik GmbH based in Gerlingen. The acquisition process was accompanied by Wintergerst Societät für Unternehmer-Beratung from its inception right through to its completion.

STOTZ Feinmesstechnik GmbH based in Gerlingen near Stuttgart is a family-owned operation that focuses on the development, production and distribution of pneumatic dimension measurement technology. Applications for its high-precision measuring equipment are found in the automobile industry and its suppliers, in machine tool manufacturing and in medical technology.

The BETESO Group is a family-owned and operated middle-market group of companies based in Waldenbuch in Baden-Württemberg and Dieburg in Hesse that specializes in the development and production of electronics. Bundling together smaller but highly specialized (electronic) companies under one roof improves their competitiveness and deepens the value chain. Many years of experience, traditional values and innovative developments are the factors that together generate the value added by the BETESO brand. The group of companies is currently on a course of expansion by means of acquisitions and employs roughly 100 employees at three different locations.

Fredrik Ljungman, the managing director of the BETESO Group, states: “This takeover is an important strategic step for our group. It is an optimal addition to our product portfolio and allows us to continue on the growth trajectory of recent years.”

“With BETESO we have found a strongly growing investor with experience in corporate acquisitions whose product portfolio will be ideally complemented by STOTZ,” says Christian Scharfenberger, who managed the project at Wintergerst in conjunction with Vincent Buhl. “I am happy that we could use our network to find a regional investor for STOTZ who managed to prevail during the investor process thanks to its compelling concept for the acquisition” adds Volker Wintergerst, founder and managing partner.
